If you take HCG Drops, the recommendation is between 10 to 20 drops three times per day.  If you take HCG Spray, the recommended dose is 3 to 4 sprays two or  three times per day.  If you hit a plateau you may increase the amount.  Taking the smaller amount is permissable but usually most consumers decide to take the higher dose since it is safe to do so.

Taking adequate HCG is very important to your safe weight loss.  This insures protection to your body reserving the fat that is healthy in vital body functions.  This also enables a restructuring of your body shape becasue the abnormal fat will be targeted.

Phase 4 is the rest of your life.  After achieving your ideal weight on the HCG Diet you will enjoy being able to eat delicious healthy food many times a day without gaining weight back.  The key is two-fold.  Eat smaller meals more often and weigh daily to see how you are metabolizing your choice of food.  If you gain two pounds or more immediately lose it with a steak apple day.

Water is also important.  The more water the higher your metabolism.  Exercise should be added and is more easily enjoyed now that you weigh less.  The more you enjoy life, the easier it will be to eat properly, exercise more and maintain your ideal weight.

The HCG Diet Protocol was designed by a medical doctor and researcher with special interest in obesity.  It was very common for his patients to continue  on the HCG after completeing the the first round.  The six week -between HCG doses rule was very strictly adhered to and proved to get excellent results according to Dr. A.W. Simeon.  He gave instructions to always continue with Phase 3 first and then wait an extra three weeks before beginning Phase 2 again.

Phase 3 or what he refers to as Reset is a period of eating more normally with the exception of starches so that the hypothalmus which controls ones metabolism could be reset or retrained to burn as it should.  This is an important step in the process.  Leaving it out could affect your success.

The HCG Diet is excellent for both men and women and will produce desired results if you do exactly as it says.  Men usually lose a pound a day while women lose between 1/2 to 3/4 pound a day on the average.  Some weight loss will be evident daily unless your body plateaus during the protocol.  If weight has not been lost for several days there are several things you can do to break this plateau and to begin losing again.

One way to break the plateau is to increase the amount of HCG each dose.  Another is to increase the amount of movement or at least one hour of steady pace walking per day.  Another productive way is to go all day drinking water and eat a large lean steak before 6 p.m. for supper.  You may also eat an apple or tomatoe.  Eat nothing more.  You should lose two pounds by morning and continue to lose as you resume your HCG Diet.

The HCG Diet is a very limited calorie eating plan that includes fish, chicken, and beef as well as healthy organic vegetables and fruits.  On the 40 day protocol, fat or dairy products are not allowed and neither is starches, sweets or bread except two small pieces of Melba Toast each day.  Water, tea and coffee may be included in unlimited amounts but may be sweetened only with stevia and only 2T of milk per day.

It is most helpful and even mandatory to make a habit of weighing first thing every morning on the HCG Diet and thereafter.  Not only does it measure your progress but it also monitors any weight gain so that it can be quickly lost.  A very important ingredient in this protocol is the ability to control any weight gain of two pounds or over by immediately doing an apple / steak day.  The next morning the two pounds will be lost.

This habit will prove to be the best kept secret to maintaing weight loss.  Many who have done the HCG Diet and lost 30, 40, 100 pounds, have maintained it for three, five, seven years or more.  Weighing daily is a small price to pay for that kind of success!

The cause of eating when you are not hungry is a combination of stress and anxiety patterns locked in the body as well as the hypnotic triggers that are in our minds due to the highly advanced suggestive advertsing from TV, radio and print media put out by the food companies.  Combine this with the fact that the food we eat is loaded with chemical agents to create drug-like physical addiction so the food is craved.

It is important to take the advice of Dr. Simeon and the HCG weight loss diet and not eat certain forbidden foods such as highly refined sugars, artificial sweeteners, trans fats, MSG, food with nitrites, meat or poultry that has been raised with growth hormone, farm raised fish.  Also do a total body cleanse at least 4 times a year.

The HCG Diet was first introduced by Dr. A. W. Simeon and it was he that perscribed the exact items to eat on the diet.  However, it has more recently been discovered that to leave off the melba toast speeds up the fat burning process.  For those who need this extra bit of carbohydrate daily you should eat it.  If you decide not to partake of the melba toast, your fat burning will speed up.

It has nothing to do with aiding the weight loss.  It is to satisfy craving and hunger if needed.

Because the HCG Diet is aiming to rid your body of toxins which affect weight loss, you should not eat anything with MSG in it.  Never again should you eat MSG as long as you live.  It is a deadly, dangerous excitotoxin.  It increases depression, increases appetite, and makes you fat.

Read labels and throw away anything with this substance in it.  Chinese food often is loaded with MSG.  Choose wisely.

While on the HCG Diet Plan you should never use any artificial sweetners.  You should never use these again for the rest of your life.  All artifiical sweeteners should never be consumed.  They increase depression, are physically, chemically addicting and make you fat.

Use stevia while on the HCG Diet Protocol.  Later Agave Nectar, small amounts of honey or raw sugar should be substituted for the artificail sweeteners.
