Appetite control on any diet is the first thing most people will encounter.  After a few days, the HCG Diet formulas when taken properly will help with appetite control.  You will be drinking or eating every 3 hours all day so you will really not be hungry.  Cravings will come and go but drinking additinal water or tea with stevia and spreading out the two allowable fruits can help with these.  After a week, the cravings tend to subside and the pounds and inches you have lost will become your motivation to continue.

For many that are truly obese, the quick weight loss became all the motivaiton they needed to fight the temporary cravings and stay on track.  When so many admit it is the first diet they have ever been able to lose on, it becomes obvious that many can win win if they just play the game.

The HCG Diet Protocol was designed by a medical doctor and researcher with special interest in obesity.  It was very common for his patients to continue  on the HCG after completeing the the first round.  The six week -between HCG doses rule was very strictly adhered to and proved to get excellent results according to Dr. A.W. Simeon.  He gave instructions to always continue with Phase 3 first and then wait an extra three weeks before beginning Phase 2 again.

Phase 3 or what he refers to as Reset is a period of eating more normally with the exception of starches so that the hypothalmus which controls ones metabolism could be reset or retrained to burn as it should.  This is an important step in the process.  Leaving it out could affect your success.

The HCG Diet is excellent for both men and women and will produce desired results if you do exactly as it says.  Men usually lose a pound a day while women lose between 1/2 to 3/4 pound a day on the average.  Some weight loss will be evident daily unless your body plateaus during the protocol.  If weight has not been lost for several days there are several things you can do to break this plateau and to begin losing again.

One way to break the plateau is to increase the amount of HCG each dose.  Another is to increase the amount of movement or at least one hour of steady pace walking per day.  Another productive way is to go all day drinking water and eat a large lean steak before 6 p.m. for supper.  You may also eat an apple or tomatoe.  Eat nothing more.  You should lose two pounds by morning and continue to lose as you resume your HCG Diet.

Following Phase 3 of the original HCG Diet should result in a resetting of the body weight set point and hypothalamus.  This is the phase that resets metabolism to a high normal state, eliminates future intense constant hunger, and prevents the abnormal future storing of fat in problem areas of fat reserves in the body.  For twenty one days after the last HCG dosage, you are allowed to eat as much food and any type of food except the following list:

  • no sugar or any sweetener except stevia
  • No starch including breads, pastas, wheat, white rice, potatoes, yams, etc.
  • No artificial sweetners
  • No food from fast food restaurants
  • No trans fats, including hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils
  • No nitrites
  • Limit non-prescription and prescription drug use
  • Limit ice cold drinks
  • Limit exposure to air conditioning

Additiionally, doing the following is highly suggested:

  • Drink one-half to one gallon of pure spring water daily.
  • Walk for one hour per day
  • Eat a minimum of two organic apples per day
  • Eat a grapefruit per day
  • Sleep seven to eight hours per night
  • Eat a large breakfast
  • Eat something six times per day
  • Avoid MSG
  • Add fiber to your diet
  • Listen to stress reducing music

The HCG Diet was first introduced by Dr. A. W. Simeon and it was he that perscribed the exact items to eat on the diet.  However, it has more recently been discovered that to leave off the melba toast speeds up the fat burning process.  For those who need this extra bit of carbohydrate daily you should eat it.  If you decide not to partake of the melba toast, your fat burning will speed up.

It has nothing to do with aiding the weight loss.  It is to satisfy craving and hunger if needed.

On the HCG Diet you may not eat smoked, dired, or pickled meats.  Never use deli meats.  The meats must be lean with no visible fat.  The meat should be 100% organic otherwise it will contain growth hormone, antibiotics and other animal drugs which slowdown or stop the fat burning process.  Even  farm raised fish are loaded with man made chemicals and food dyes which slow down or stop thef at burning process.

Simeon was very specific about grass fed beef and veal, otherwise genetically modified grain and animal parts creat abnormally high fat content.  Not doing so will slow or stop fat burning process.

In most cases, yes!  If you are very strict and fully commited to all of the dos and don’ts in Phase 1, 2 and 3 of the HCG Diet and paratake in all the suggestions in Phase 4, cellulite can vanish completely in a one to six month period of time.

Being persistent and continuing until it is gone will pay great dividends of your investment.  Don’t give up and it will happen.

Yes according to Dr. Simeons a person must stock his normal fat reserves in order to be comfortable on the HCG Diet.  They must eat to capacity the most fattening food they can get down for the first two days in Phase 2.  The HCG will be getting into the person’s system during these two days.

It takes about two days for the fat deposits to be released into the body’s system to be used as fuel.  This timing works beautifully to keep the person from being weak and tired until fuel is supplied.

One of the most amazing things about the HCG Diet is the loss of stomach and belly fat.  Most notice loss of inches around the waist from day one of the diet.  The HCG Diet will actually restructure your body shape and the belly will decrease immensely.

Of course being active and walking daily is very important in this diet program.  After weight is lost you will want to begin an excersize and resistance program for toning.  This is just good health and will aid in all areas of your life including stress relief.  The HCG Diet is a beginning to a healthier lifestyle and appearance.
